Visited earlier today for brunch with a couple friends! Enjoyed the cozy and comfortable atmosphere an outdoor table. Breakfast was simple but good, will definitely be back for another visit. Only bummer, they were out of a couple alcoholic beverages but the server did notify us as soon as we sat down :)
Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. PLEASANTLY Surprised! I got the Briskets & gravy and they were delicious. Added a side of breakfast potatoes and that was the best decision ever. Super crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside.
So good and unique! We loved the atmosphere and everyone was so friendly! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Taylor was wonderful. Super kind to our toddler - offering her fresh crayons and a special toy. The food here is very well cooked. Briskets and gravy was my fave - deep orange yolky egg (if you order over medium) and pretty luscious brisket gravy over biscuits. Flavorful. The soyrizo & beans was pretty yummy too - well seasoned, the tots were crispy and the fresh salsa had just the right amount of heat. I love the 80s home vibes and special touches to create fun for little ones.
Waiting for our food, we enjoy the Saturday morning cartoons, I don't know where they stream it from, and pointing out all the various items that are gone with the days of old like The wall phone with the long cord that everybody's mom chatted on while making dinner. Avocado toast is a must! Day-old bread perfectly toasted to hold the avocado mash. Avocado Bacon and cheese omelette, I like my omelette and cheesy on the inside, but this had crisp and lots of bacon inside. Love the fresh avocado. We enjoy the ambience. You really feel like you're in someone's 70s/80s kitchen. We'll be back
A great fried chicken sandwich From scratch with great flavor and wonderful roll Homemade Arnold Palmer Friendly and prompt customer service
Came with a friend for brunch, and will absolutely be back! This place is so charming. The hostess and waitress were so kind and attentive, the atmosphere is adorable - it is really cozy and comfortable and you feel like you're in your grandma's house! But it's also bright and sunny. The food is delicious, the waitress let us know that everything is made from scratch! I got the chicken and waffle, which was wonderful, the waffle was really eggy and the chicken was, seasoned with thyme. Bottomless Mimosas were a great deal - $25 for an hour. You can mix and match different juices - they even had guava! The Bloody Mary was delish, too! Will absolutely be back, it was just adorable!
I've had MeeMa's on my list for the longest time and finally got to try their breakfast! I came as a group of 4 on a rainy Saturday morning at 9AM and we were luckily seated right away. There was a bit of a wait for groups that arrived after. 1. Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes - 2 fluffy pancakes doused in a blueberry compote and homemade whipped cream. The pancakes were topped with lemon zest but I was hoping there was more lemon flavor. Aside from that, the pancakes were delicious and a big serving! 2. Chilaquiles + Sliced Steak - My husband ordered this in mild and said it had a good kick to it! The steak was cooked to his preference of medium rare and had a great flavor. Our server, Taylor, was kind and checked on us often. Coffee refills came around frequently too. The restaurant can get a bit loud when it's full but makes for a lively environment. I'll definitely be back to try other items, or maybe even order those pancakes again!
